Awarded “First Place” – Secura Art Exhibit 2009 – Appleton, WI
Knowing that I enjoyed painting people working with their hands, my son Jack led me to the location on the Seward docks where the fish from the charter boats were being cleaned. With permission from the young man processing the fish, I was able to photograph him for quite some time while he worked. The process itself may not appeal to me, but I found the colors and the play of light off the different surfaces fascinating.
